Delaware County Regional Wastewater maintenance crews are working diligently throughout this high-rainfall and flooding event.

Some areas of Delaware County have received approximately 6 inches of rain, while surrounding counties are reporting totals approaching 11+ inches. With rainfall of this magnitude, both stormwater and sanitary sewer systems need time to recover and return to normal levels.

A reminder for homeowners: Please make sure downspouts, perimeter drains and sump pumps are NOT connected to your home's sanitary sewer line. These connections can contribute significantly to sewer overflows and system strain during heavy rainfall.

We appreciate everyone's patience as our crews continue working through these challenging conditions. Please stay safe and allow our systems time to catch up after this significant rainfall event.
